NORDOCK® WEARTOUGH® DS Series Dock Shelters

Description

The DS Series Dock Shelter provides maximum dock protection and full access for the greatest range of trailer widths and heights.

The DS Series features high wear resistant fabric with double lock stitched seams, bottom corner draft pads, 30” head curtain with stiffeners, protective corner reinforcement pleats and wind retention straps. The raked header with a translucent top provides natural light and allows for water drainage. Protective steel guards are located at the bottom of each side member.

DS2 Series is available as a more economical alternative with fiberglass top and translucent vinyl side covers.

Combination RAINSHIELD™ & RAINSTOP™ trailer top wiper seals are available along with TERMINATOR™ trailer door gap seals and
TOUGH-SPLIT™ stress relieving head curtain gussets.

WEARTOUGH® Fabric Performance Specifications

Description

The WEARTOUGH® Series of full access dock shelters provide effective protection for personnel and cargo while loading and off loading trailers. The truck backs into the side and top curtains to help keep out inclement weather, dust and insects creating a more productive and safer environment while saving energy costs and increasing security.

Specification

Dock shelter(s) to be Model DS as manufactured by NORDOCK® to suit door size of ________ wide x ________ high and dock height of ________ with a projection of ________ to provide 12”-18” projection beyond front face of dock bumpers. Each unit shall consist of two side frames with front curtains and one head frame with head curtain. Side frames to be constructed with kiln dried pressure treated superior grade lumber and covered with translucent fiberglass. Two steel guards to be mounted beneath and project in front of side frames to provide support and protection. The side and top curtain fabric shall be _______________ with sewn in stays to keep curtains tight against the truck or trailer. Head curtain drop shall be 36” long or ________ to provide a minimum 6” overlap with the lowest truck or trailer to be serviced. The head curtain shall be equal to the overall unit width and have corner wear pleats and wind retention cords. Optional Tough-Split gussets provide relief from tearing by corner of trailers ___. The unit shall include 24” high ___ or optional full height ___ yellow guide stripes to aid in trailer positioning.
